Alta
Badia is the closest ski area to the district of the Plan de
Corones. Renowned for its magnificent scenic landscapes, Alta
Badia is also famous for the
“Gran Risa” slope where the famous
giant slalom of the Alpine Ski World Cup has been held for
the last twenty years and for which the athletes of our national
team have and continue even now to provide strong competition
for the world’s ski champions.
At the foot of the “Sella Group” and on the borders of the
two South Tyrolean nature parks, beautiful scenic wonders abound:
the most magnificent winter landscapes with a view over snow-covered
meadows and woods plus historical settlements with characteristic
stone and wood homes, and all framed by the stupendous Dolomite
peaks that blend with the cerulean sky, especially at dawn
and at dusk.
This excursion will also help us to discover the special culture
of the Ladins who, for centuries, have preserved, developed
and handed downtheir ancestral language in these areas along
with a rich heritage of fascinating centuries-old traditions.
These
itineraries will also vary according to the participants’ interests.
